Jason & Megan...waiting for Scotlynne!

Jason & Megan were such a blast to work with. They came fully prepared with all kinds of outfits and fun props to use. We had a great time incorporating all of this into different photos.

Always one of my more favorite poses to do during a maternity session. Being a mom myself in which I have no professional portraits of my pregnancies, I realize the importance of shots like these, and always make it a point to get fit them into the session!

Oh my gosh, the baby blocks. Ok, so Megan had went in to change outfits and I thought I would help out and get the blocks ready by finding the letters I would need to spell out Scotlynne. HUGE mistake! Turns out she had the ones we would need picked out and at the top of the bag...totally didn't see that. So about 20 minutes later we finally found the letters we needed. Again, so sorry Megan!

It was a little trickier than I thought it was going to be to stack these puppies up...clearly I am not as hand eye coordinated as the average baby...HA! But we got it, and then after we got the shots we wanted I had Jason jump in so we could try this shot.

Talk about being prepared for parenthood...Scotlynne already has her first Cardinals outfit awaiting her arrival! And just in case she gets a little chilly, don't worry, because Daddy has you a Cardinals jacket too!

I haven't mentioned this yet, but believe it or not, Megan was 36 1/2 weeks along when we did this photo shoot. WOW, Megan, can you say "Hot Mama"??? And on top of that, she was super happy, glowing, excited, the whole nine yards, and all qualities I seemed to lack during my two pregnancies. I always seemed to be the dragon lady by my last trimester, let alone look this freakin good! So I couldn't resist taking this next shot, even though it didn't exactly show off the belly.

And last but not least, Megan had requested a brilliant idea at the very end of her shoot. She wanted a "birds eye view" of what she sees every day. Now why haven't I thought of this before??? It was a bit of a challenge, and required a ladder on my part, but I got it. And since I knew how special this would be, I thought I would add some texture and make it a photograph that she will always enjoy looking at for years to come.

Jason and Megan, words can't begin to express what absolutely wonderful parents you are going to make! Seriously, your enthusiasm, and joy says it all. Congratulations...and I absolutely cannot wait to meet Scotlynne!!!!!!! Oh my gosh, I love babies!
