The Bruning Family

I met the Brunning Family last spring and then they revisited me for their Christmas card photos.  These girls are just as cute as they look in their photos!  And they really loved the tutu's, so hopefully they come back again soon so we can have a dress-up shoot.  I think they would have a blast with that!  (hint, hint Kristi...lol)  Here is a sneak peak of our time together...

To the Brunning Family, I hope you guys had an absolutely wonderful Christmas and Santa found his way down your chimney!  Thank you again for coming to see me, it was wonderful to see you and I hope to see you again very soon!

Hunter & Kirsten

Introducing Hunter Boyd Keck with his wonderful big sister Kirsten!  Kirsten is 14 months and little Hunter was only about a week and a half old.  I thought Kirsten was a good baby...Hunter seems to be following in his sister's footsteps!  Kirsten comes to see me often, and so hopefully I will now get to watch Hunter grow as well!

1st Annual Cutest Kid Contest

For the first time Heather Hoadley Photography will be having a Cutest Kid Contest. The contest will be divided up between 2 categories. One is newborn to age 3, and the second is age 4 and up. Each contestant will be emailed a form that they can then email out to all friends and family for them to enter their votes. The contestant with the most votes in each of the two categories will of course be the winner.

The winner will receive a FREE portrait session with a CD of all edited images (the most popular item these days) and also a 5x7 of their choice. The image that is chosen for the 5x7 will also be the image used for the contest.

The entry fee, which is only $20, provides up to a 30 minute in-studio session, a 5x7 of your choice, a 5 day online viewing gallery where you may also place orders if you desire, and an entrance into the Cutest Kid Contest!

The contest will run from January 2 through February 21, 2010, and the winner will be announced by February 26, 2010. If you are wanting to schedule a portrait session between these dates, you may also enter a photo from that session into the contest as well if you desire.

Hurry and schedule your session soon, this is a fantastic prize being offered, and a great chance for me to see some old faces again and hopefully meet some new ones too!

Coming Soon!

As if things didn't get pretty busy for me throughout wedding season as it was, I also encountered some computer issues as some of you may know. It gave me a bit of setback...ugh! But I have been able to catch up and of course get photos completed, but the blog kind of got put on the back burner. Don't worry, I haven't forgotten about it and I wanted to let you know that I will be updating the best I can. So with that said....

Coming soon!

Baby Scotlynne (newborn), Justin & Jessica (wedding), Greg & Monica (wedding), Collin & Cooper (brothers), Eric & Allison (wedding), Kenton & Loni (wedding), and Jason & Joanee (wedding)

Thank you for your patience!

And as a result of the computer issues, I finally got a much needed upgraded editing program along with the finding of a magnificent printing lab! I am very excited about the changes and am quite sure you guys will be very pleased with the results.

Micah & April

I met April through a friend, and I am so glad I did. Their special day was so beautiful, and the love between Micah and April is noticed immediately. Their wedding took place in the small town of Holden, MO. It was a bit of a drive for me coming from Springfield, but wow what a beautiful drive it was. I felt like I had traveled back in time to when life was simpler. And it just kept getting better from there. The church, oh wow! It was a smaller church but absolutely beautiful, and full of some of the most breathtaking stained glass windows I have ever seen. Talk about a photographers dream come true!

Here is a glimpse at a few of the details...

April doing some last minute touch ups...

Meanwhile, the guys doing their thing...

Then I stepped out to do some shots of the rings. When I came back in, uh, hello Micah, talk about a photo opt! Totally didn't know they were doing a little jam session!

Oh how I love this one. I was heading down the hall and caught the guys waiting for their cue.

Here's one of my favorites from the ceremony...

Afterwards, they walked out the front doors of the church and as I stood at the top of the steps, ah, here they all were. What a perfect wedding party!

And now for some a bit more posed...

I can't take all the credit on this next one. The groom's sister came up with this idea and how Micah and April are looking at each other with all the groomsmen keeping their on eye on Micah. Needless to say she is on her way to becoming a photographer, and I think she is going to be great at it too!

And lastly, here are two of my favorite candids of the gorgeous couple...

I just want to say a huge thank you to Micah and April for allowing me to be there for their BIG day! And to all their friends and family, all of you were so wonderful to be around. Everyone was so nice and down to earth.

Congratulations April and Micah! May you live happily ever after!

Cayden & Jordan

I cannot say enough good things about this family! Cayden and Jordan are absolutely wonderful to be around. I am always amazed by their enthusiasm with the whole world. From the second I see them, they want to show me anything and everything and tell me all about it....I love it!

I should mention that this family were my very first paying clients, and I am absolutely ecstatic to have them come back to me again! We did their session at their home again, just as we had done in the past. It is such a magical home, and I always hate to say goodbye. This time I got to go see the boys special area (the basement). WOW, what a dream come true for any child. It is filled with all their favorite toys, and is absolutely the coolest place I have ever seen. So naturally this was where we started!

Cayden and I started with his train set, and then moved on to his Lego's. Now before I show off the photos, I have to tell you about Cayden. This kid can out build ANYONE and I mean anyone when it comes to Lego's. Sure he gets the sets with the instructions and builds away, but my favorite is that he can build his very own creations. He currently was working on a three story house. It had everything a real home would have, staircases, handrails, he even had waterspouts outside the home. AMAZING! Oh, and did I mention he is 5...yep, that's right, he is only 5 years old. He has building Lego's, since I believe he was 2.

OK, so here is Cayden with his train. It is the polar express train, and I was in awe, let me tell you!

Now here are the Lego's. Here is another cool part, all his Lego's are on top of a pool table, and he just jumps right on top and builds away.

Jordan, oh what a cutie! He loves motorcycles, and so naturally his room is done up in motorcycles. It was such an amazing room that I couldn't resist starting with him in there. He had a great time showing me everything.

Then we headed outside...this is when things always get really fun with these two boys!

Yea I know, could their mom be any more beautiful??? Seriously Deann, you look amazing!

Popsicles and frozen yogurt as a reward...yummy!

Thank you guys so much, for everything. Not just for allowing me to come into your home to capture these photos. But also for always filling me with confidence that helps keep me going. I can't possibly put into words how much that means to me, and I will forever be grateful. You guys are the best!

I can't wait to see you again! ~ Heather
