Playing catch-up!

Like I said in a previous post I fell majorly behind when it came to my blog. There were several photo shoots and weddings that I am going to try and and add a post about because they just turned out too good to leave out!

To start it off...Baby Kirsten. I always call in Kirsten whenever I have new things I want to try out. I had a few baby shoots coming up so a few weeks ago I asked for Kirsten to pay me a visit! We had missed her nine month shoot, so I figured this could make up for it.

Luckily her dad was in Ohio for work, so only mom was there, otherwise I am not sure I would have been allowed to try out this first pose! LOL!

Up next was Kamryn! Even with teeth coming in, she did great! When she started getting fussy we just took her outside, and I just kept shooting.

A huge thanks to both Kirsten and Kamryn! You girls are so gosh darn cute, and I can't wait to see you again soon!

Emily

If I haven't mentioned before, I love babies! And working with Emily was a huge reminder. She was absolutely precious, and hung on and did wonderfully all the way till the end. We started the shoot in an outfit that matched a newborn outfit she had. My favorite was the headband. I LOVE baby girl headbands. With having only boys myself, I am all for all the girly details.

I recently made some tutu's and was able to try one out on Emily. When I made them I was worried they were almost too puffy, but after seeing it on Emily, I say the poofier the better! I also made a bunch of flower headbands as well, so we added that to the little model as well!

Ok, so she wasn't really sleeping...I just happened to catch her as she was closing her eyes and getting ready to turn her head....I was so happy to see that this one turned out so well!

But she did actually end up conking out on us. She didn't sleep a wink during her newborn photos, so I was anxious to get some of her this time.

What an angel, what an absolute angel! Thank you Emily for being such a good little girl for me. And an even bigger thanks to her mommy for letting me spend some time with her to get such great photographs. I can't wait to see you guys again...woo-hoo, she'll be 6 months then. Goodness, how time flies!

Jason & Megan...waiting for Scotlynne!

Jason & Megan were such a blast to work with. They came fully prepared with all kinds of outfits and fun props to use. We had a great time incorporating all of this into different photos.

Always one of my more favorite poses to do during a maternity session. Being a mom myself in which I have no professional portraits of my pregnancies, I realize the importance of shots like these, and always make it a point to get fit them into the session!

Oh my gosh, the baby blocks. Ok, so Megan had went in to change outfits and I thought I would help out and get the blocks ready by finding the letters I would need to spell out Scotlynne. HUGE mistake! Turns out she had the ones we would need picked out and at the top of the bag...totally didn't see that. So about 20 minutes later we finally found the letters we needed. Again, so sorry Megan!

It was a little trickier than I thought it was going to be to stack these puppies up...clearly I am not as hand eye coordinated as the average baby...HA! But we got it, and then after we got the shots we wanted I had Jason jump in so we could try this shot.

Talk about being prepared for parenthood...Scotlynne already has her first Cardinals outfit awaiting her arrival! And just in case she gets a little chilly, don't worry, because Daddy has you a Cardinals jacket too!

I haven't mentioned this yet, but believe it or not, Megan was 36 1/2 weeks along when we did this photo shoot. WOW, Megan, can you say "Hot Mama"??? And on top of that, she was super happy, glowing, excited, the whole nine yards, and all qualities I seemed to lack during my two pregnancies. I always seemed to be the dragon lady by my last trimester, let alone look this freakin good! So I couldn't resist taking this next shot, even though it didn't exactly show off the belly.

And last but not least, Megan had requested a brilliant idea at the very end of her shoot. She wanted a "birds eye view" of what she sees every day. Now why haven't I thought of this before??? It was a bit of a challenge, and required a ladder on my part, but I got it. And since I knew how special this would be, I thought I would add some texture and make it a photograph that she will always enjoy looking at for years to come.

Jason and Megan, words can't begin to express what absolutely wonderful parents you are going to make! Seriously, your enthusiasm, and joy says it all. Congratulations...and I absolutely cannot wait to meet Scotlynne!!!!!!! Oh my gosh, I love babies!

Ok, so I have fallen way behind on this whole blog thing. This was brought to my attention, and so I thought I would give it another shot and see if I can keep myself up to date a little better.

This has been an incredible season for me so far! I have already got a few weddings under my belt, and have done many portrait sessions and it's only the beginning of June! Some other things that I am excited about is my new online proofing through my website. This enables me to share all the photos from your session for you to view with or without a password, completely up to you. You can also order your portraits through this page, where your order will then be sent directly to me. UPS, hand-delivery, or pick-up are all offered as shipping options.

Another addition to my website is my new "Baby's First Year" session packages. I can't express enough my love for babies. And I wanted to try and make things as affordable as I possible could so that more people could have the opportunity to get to have professional portraits taken. During any of my sessions, you are never rushed. I hate hearing from someone that they went to a studio and their baby was fussy or hungry, but because there was only a 10 or 20 minute slot there were no good pictures taken. I also have been around all types of behaviors and know how to handle all kinds of situations. If your child needs time to warm up to me, then please, let me know, and I will make sure to do whatever I can to help make your experience an enjoyable one. Because in the end that is what I want every family to get to have, a fun experience. And with the session packages, you can save money on your session fees so that it is more affordable to capture all the special milestones your little one will go through.

Ok, well, that is a few of my latest additions. And now I will try my best to keep up with my blog better!
